A scared and anxious young person received the news of a forever home.

Posted 13th April 2021

Weeks of patience, uncertainty and nail biting has paid off with one of Midlothian's young people being offered a house of their dreams.

This young person has been uncertain if they were ready for leaving residential care due to it being their home for a number of years and calls the staff their 'family'. After staff working closely with the young person to prepare them for the next adventure in their life, the young person decided only two weeks ago that it was time to move on.

Midlothian House Project opened up their application and they were offered a stunning two bedroom house within their choosen area, and wait for it... a stunning back garden. This young person is full of mixed emotions but staff know that they are set up for life with this amazing property and the support of everyone around them.
