Care Day 2022 - Together we create community

The theme of this year’s Care Day fits perfectly with the House Project approach and focus upon community. In October 2021,  the Care Leavers National Movement (CLNM) conference was entirely planned and delivered by young people around the theme of community. Community is important to us all and as CLNM’s Peer Evaluation states 'community can be places or spaces... but most importantly community is formed by a group of people'.

The National House Project supports young people leaving care to live independently. Its Care Leavers National Movement is made up of care leavers from local House Projects who meet regularly to come up with new ideas to improve things for young people.

Warwickshire’s House Project recognised for successfully supporting young people in recent Ofsted inspection

14th February 2022

Warwickshire County Council (WCC), which commissions the Warwickshire House Project, is delighted to be judged as good in all areas for its children’s services according to a recent Ofsted inspection. The latest inspection of WCC, published in a report on 1 February 2022, found that children and families in Warwickshire benefit from consistently good quality services at an early stage, making a real difference to their lives.
