Project Launch in Manchester & Trafford

A new scheme has been launched in Trafford to enable young care leavers to make their first home and develop the skills they need to live independently. ‘The House Project’ is a nationwide initiative that brings together groups of young care leavers, teaches them life skills from property maintenance to cooking and financial management and provides them with a property to renovate – which then becomes their home.

The Warwickshire House Project has received positive feedback in its annual review for 2021/22, completed by the National House Project. The report illustrates the comprehensive support provided to care leavers in the county as well as plans to develop the project in the future.
