Facilitators work directly with young people, run regular group sessions and help young people develop positive relationship that enables them to live successfully in their homes
Jen has worked for over 20 years with young people within education/accessing education along with care experienced young people and supporting them into adulthood as part of 12+ aftercare team.
Jen is so excited to be part of Midlothian House project from the beginning and having the opportunity to connect and build relationships and watch the project and young people grow and develop.
Jen wanted to be part of the house project to help young people shape this project, share trust and faith in their abilities and watch them grow in confidence

We were delighted to be joined by Natalie Don, The Minister for Children, Young People and Keeping the Promise, Fraser McKinlay, CEO of The Promise Scotland and Heather Coady, an Independent Consultant, who share a passion and commitment to changing the system for people in, and leaving, care in Scotland. Not only did they address the conference but they got to hear from Local House Project staff and young people on how they are working together to improve the way in which young people leave care and how this meets the commitments made in The Promise in 2020.
